Opacity of resealable grip seal bags
Opacity can range from crystal clear to completely opaque. Opacity of the material goes hand in hand with its durability. The clearest reclosable grip seal bags are the least durable and vice versa. Clear films are used for display, while opaque are used for hiding or protecting the held items from sunlight.
Type of material used in making grip seal bags
The most common types of plastics used for making grip seal bags are cellophane, polyethylene (LDPE, MDPE, and HDPE) and vinyl.
Cellophane is too weak to protect the items, but the grip seal bags made of this material are extremely lightweight.
The LDPE polythene can protect the held items from dirt, scratches and moisture. The MDPE will additionally protect items from punctures and tears. The HDPE will protect items from all of the above.

Resealable plastic bags for airport security
Regulations are in place to restrict what liquids are allowed an aircraft. Allowed liquids should be in containers no larger than 100ml. Anything bought from duty free shops is OK. These containers must be placed in a bag that is transparent and resealable, no larger than 200 x 200mm (8 x 8 inches) and able to close properly with all the items inside.
